Useless-girlI needed more than one and a half day until I felt ready to start the summary of this fantastic Thursday. I had to calm myself a bit, cuz yesterday my emotions were whirling too much inside of me I even couldnt bear myself. I couldnt watch pictures or videos from that day, or couldnt listen to DM, couldnt sleep and I did these things at the end. It wasnt good no matter what I was doing. Now Im happy and sad at the same time. Happy, cuz I could live through wonderful experiences I was waiting for so long, and sad, cuz that day was over too soon. But lets start from the beginning
On the day before the concert my mood wasnt too good, cuz it seemed that two of our friends wont come to the concert, but one of them joined us at the end. The other negative thing was that the rain was still falling down heavily. Basically I love the rain, but now we hadnt had 40 degrees to enjoy getting wet to the skin.
On Thursday in the early mornings hours I woke up and even in my half-sleep my first thought was THE CONCERT IS TODAY!. Then I went back to sleep a bit more. After the first morning cigarette I checked one of the topics on Freestate.hu, where people from Budapest gave us news about the weather. Ive started getting excited as Ive got dressed and I arrived to the Nyugati (one of the main train stations in Budapest) with my best friend (Anita) around 11am. Mira was waiting for us there and after it we took the subway until we reached the Stadiums station. First we chose the wrong way, but finally we found the right path (2006 was a long time ago, okay?

). When we got to the entrances on the Stefania road around 1:30 there were just around 15 people waiting there. We quickly sat down onto bags and coats and Anitad built the stage from twigs, leaves and stones then she explained us the tactics where we wanted to end up (in front of the joining of the catwalk and the longer side of the stage, right in the corner). After a serious nod and growl we accepted the instructions. With one or two ciggies we bribed some people from the inside for some information we wanted to know which gatell be opened first. They were quite useful, cuz the one where we were sitting wasnt working, so there was no chance that theyll open it. We sat down the next gate and soon Precious101 and his friends arrived too and sat down by the 3rd gate (we bought our T-shirts from him, hes one of the admins on Freestate.hu). By the way I saw very few people in Freestate T-shirts by the Stefania gates. Then Mauka arrived too she could come earlier from work, so we didnt have to worry whether shell arrive before they open the gates or not. I think that the security guys now acted more kindly on our side than in 2006. We were even joking with them and they gave us some tips too. This is why we started sneaking closer to the gate where Preci and his friends were, cuz it was the first gate which the security guys had opened. But of course the opening of the gates wasnt at 5 pm, but around 17:15. At that time quite a lot of fans were standing there. By the way one of my aquintances from deviantArt came to me, which surprised me a bit, but it was nice to see her there. And we met Gerike too, whom I last saw in 2006 on the previous DM concert. Meanwhile Jockey (a guy who checks tickets in The Hungarian DM Fan Club) had joined Preci and the others and we were laughing hard from his jokes. It was close to the opening of the gates.
Around 4 there was a little sound check (as Ive read later probably it wasnt a live sound check, but I dont know) but it was one of the highlights of the day. First we could hear the half of In Chains then they switched to Walking in my shoes where I think we could hear Peter Gordenos higher vocals but then suddenly Daves low baritone sent shiver down our spines. It was really as if the father of a little lion on the Savannah growled onto his son

DD Haha, just we four yelled from this, which made a lot of people smile.

The entering: Well
it wasnt too easy, but we were used to it. Firstly: the pressing at the gates was big okay, Ive got through the gate and reached the girl who was checking our tickets with a machine. But she was so slow and clumsy! She had problems with two guys tickets in front of me she even called one back cuz she read the ticket twice and the machine beeped and she had problems with my ticket too. The fans behind me were cursing too. They didnt even check my shoulder-bag, just looked into it. Now things were different than in 2006 now the security guys didnt escorted groups of fans (15-20 people) to the inner gate like 3 years ago to avoid the running (I guess there wasnt enough money for that), so as soon as they told me that I can go, Ive started running like mad, down the stairs and on the grass. My friends were already there of course by the inner gates cordon. I was out of my breath but I was able to join them and slyly moving forward we got closer to the entrance. But we had to wait here for a while too (20-25 minutes), but after that the gates were opened and we started to run. Well Ive lost my ticket there
First I thought that I wont give a damn, but after it I realised that theyll check it once more by the fan pit tickets section (by the first cordon) so Ive started swimming backwards in the black flood, which wasnt easy, but finally Ive found my ticket cuz Ive seen where itd landed. As Anita said the security guys didnt even try to stop the first rush of fans by that cordon, cuz they were rather holding the cordon so it couldnt fell down.

But for us they checked our tickets again and let us in one by one, but it was quite quick. So although I was a bit late Ive started running towards the stage where my friends yelled at me FROM THE FIRST ROW to go there! Wow I cried out loudly from joy!!!!

(Well by the way our tactic was that Anitall run forward cuz shes the smallest and quickest and shell slip in to save places for us in the first row. Well it had worked!

) I couldnt believe that we were really in the first row!!! We were a bit to the left from Martin, nearly in front of the loudspeakers. AND FUCKING CLOSE TO THE GUYS!!!!

The only moron near to us pushed herself right next to Mira. We were already there and were holding our places, which werent easy to get and she and her friends wanted to push themselves in front of us then she was the one who was shocked at it and said If youd know whom you are speaking to
Screw you, bitch! Who the fuck cares? We hoped that shell feel sick enough to leave the first row, but after it we didnt pay attention to her. Anita went to bring some water and it turned out that there was no need to hide bottle cups in Anitas and Miras rasta hair, cuz they gave the water in plastic cups but at least it was cold. We tried to divide the liquid up, cuz it seemed that the weather had changed its mind and instead of rain it wanted to give us swelter. For the time being.
And Id like to note here that the security guy who was standing in front of us was really nice, cuz when we asked him, he refilled our water and he smiled once or twice while we were suffering from the first supporting band. The band was Motor this time with two members. They totally disappointed me. I remembered that back in 2006 Martin made a mix from one of their songs (Yak) which I liked fortunately theyve played it here too, so this was the only and one song I could enjoy. (Okay, I liked their

recious mix too back in 2005.) That thing they were doing on stage, calling performing
no comment. Ive read that a few people said that Motor was too low. Well if they had been standing in front of the loudspeakers, where our eardrums nearly gave way from that awful scrape they called music then maybe they would have said they were too loud. Our security guy smiled again when my 3 friends bent their heads onto the cordon and pressed their hands to their ears, having a painful expression on their faces. I really respect those people who like such music.
The Hungarian Zagar was something else. I like them although not as much as Yonderboi. But I was really happy when they played The prophet is a fool as the second song, cuz its my fav from them, and I was singing along Wings of love too. They play much more lighter and melodic songs and after Motor this was like heaven. But if we look at the bigger picture here, the supporting bands this year were nowhere compared to Yonderboi and Placebo in 2006!!!! It would have been much better, if they asked Placebo again Id have listened to some of their new songs live, cuz their fresh album is still a 5/5 record for me.

But we cant be this lucky.
Martins DJ set wasnt that moving like in 2006. I remember that we started dancing to that, now we didnt. But when the lights started to fade away and DM started to run round and round on the big ball, an enormous roar rose in the stadium and we were screaming like mad. And of course before that a few waves of DEPECHE MODE yells and clappings came through the crowd too. And then finally the Intro had begun and in that very moment we forgot that our legs and backs hurt like hell, and we were screaming like jackals!!!!! We were still moving a bit but then everyone had found their places. Cell phone in the hand, and action
We were very surprised that despite we were in the first row, there wasnt a big pressure of the crowd from behind us everyone could stand nicely and luckily the people around us were normal too and stupid people avoided us. Although once a girl came next to Anita saying that she felt a bit sick and she tried to get into the first row, but after a while she realised that Anita wont let her win and she soon gave up. And a girl asked me during Waiting for the night to bend a bit to the side so she could take one picture of course I did so and she thanked me.
As the guys got onto stage: ecstasy, fury, rampage, singing In Chains began. I was in another world. Although my concert experience wasnt totally full, cuz I was taking some videos during certain songs, but I was crying out as loud as I was able (sometimes I couldnt hear from myself XDDD). When it was possible, everyone was jumping and screaming the lyrics around us. But lets take it step by step:
In ChainsI still say that the Intro from 2006 is much better with A pain that Im used to, cuz they gave a more energetic beginning for the concert. The beginning of In Chains is too long for an intro I agree that Dave cant do much on stage just crawling from here to there. But surprisingly the live version of this song was quite great, although I think its just an average track. And Dave was watching us, the crowd, with a huge grin on his face. Personally I was shocked again from his aura, although it didnt hit me in the chest as hard as 3 years ago, standing nearly on the same spot. But I didnt see on him that he was just over a serious illness. As I saw from the front (and from fooking close), he was in a great mood and he was running on the stage with an ear-to-ear smile! The crowd around us was singing this song quite well too. By the way I spotted right away that not just Martins skin was glittering all over, but some of the glitters were on Dave too although mainly just on his face
WrongI still think that the album version is the best. I can hear the tunes better. I dont like it too much in live and I feel by this song that it wears out Daves voice (Id say that at some places he sings it a bit false) it was as if he was out of breath at the end. But I had goose bumps everywhere after that instrumental part where the song turns even more desperate (its my fav part by the way). And as he was sneaking around the stage during the instrumental part it made me laugh.

After all it was a nice thing to hear this song live, which is a big fav of mine next to Corrupt and Miles away. I, personally, would have played it later so we could have been more excited about it.
Hole to feedIm still not okay with this song and Im still asking what have you done to this song, guys?!
Cuz the first version which leaked out was the one which was Oh-my-god for me! But after that Ive faced the album version and I needed some time to get used to it. Now I can listen to it without a problem, but I dont really like it this way. But the concert version is quite okay for me and I like the lights by this song the best. The lights added something more to this song! But this track is kinda blurry for me. I loved the slower parts very-very much.
Walking in my shoesA compulsory piece with compulsory rain. Yes, the gathering dark clouds started pouring its burdens on us, which we didnt even notice first. Ive heard and felt by this song that the audience really started moving for the first time. This projection with the crow is my favourite from the new projections. I really-really like it. Somehow Poes Raven comes into my mind from it and of course theres a hint to Antons bird-woman, which I was wearing on my Freestate T-shirt. WIMS is one of my big favourites and its very possible to cry on this song!

(Cuz someone said on Sea of sin forum that you cant cry on this song

) I really loved it especially as Dave sang out the tones at the end of the lines! We roared and clapped hearing this. (On Live in Milan I always have goose bumps at these parts and therere tears in my eyes when the camera starts shaking as he sings here I always think that its like as if the whole world starts to shake from his voice, which screams the truth into the rainy night.)
Its no goodDespite that this is an ULTRA-song (which is my favourite album), I would have been more happy with Useless, but it seems that for now that remains just a sweet dream for me. But I loved Martins aggressive guitar in Its no good and as Dave was playing around with us and was moving his hips

But this wasnt a song where Ill remember every second although I think Ive heard the stadium rumbling and it was a feeling which made me shiver
A question of timeAn evergreen piece too theres no concert without AQOT, but by this song I dont mind it, although it doesnt sticks out too much from my favourite DM songs. I like it, cuz it moves the audience in 2006 we ended up in the 5th line by this song from the big pressure and I thought that Id die there, pinned to a guys back. But this time I didnt see something like this or maybe just we were standing a bit further from the middle where the fanatics were.

Anyhow, we started jumping although I still tired to make a video, but it wasnt easy from the rain which was harder at that time
.

Wow, it was amazingly good at the end where Dave made us clap to that quick rhythm!!!!

This song has still 5 stars on concerts. And Mau attracted my attention that when Dave was singing Youre only 15 and you look good, I take you under my wing
he sang it to Martin and they grinned at each other afterwards!

haha
PreciousWell it would have been okay for me if they skipped this song, cuz the mood went a bit down by this, although it was very beautiful too. Here I was watching Martins thoughtful face a few times, knowing the story behind this song. Later Mau told me that the text on the projector had a very deep meaning I must agree with this, although I just read it fully today. It suits Martin perfectly, although its not his poem.
Fly on the windscreenI must confess that I had a dirty smile on my face when it turned out that this wonderll be in the set list! This is a secret favourite of mine and two friends of Anita came into my mind right away (a few years ago they found each other during this song in a DM party and theyve got married since then).

But this wasnt the main point it was that this song was AMAZINGLY sexual!!! Jesus Dave was beyond words during this song! I thought Id faint there! Our dirty minds started working hard
As he was rolling his hips and when he spotted someone in the crowd and he was singing to her, lulling her with his index finger when he was singing Come here, kiss me
now
- jeeez! We screamed out loud by that part!

(I think the LiveHereNow microphone right in front of us couldnt take it anymore from our screaming! XDDD) This song was soooo awesome!!!!! (And yes it came into my mind not just once how many dirty fanfictions we had written about these guys
.

)
JezebelI didnt know what I should do: should I be glad or not. When SOTU came out I liked this song very much, then Anid said that she always sees an old retired couple dancing during this song and somehow after this I didnt like this song that much although usually such opinions didnt have effects on me. I have to be in the right mood for this song, but on the concert it came out in a good way, we could sing it nicely. And it dawned on me again how amazing this transformation of Martins is! And now Im not talking just about his appearance, which reminds me on Devotional-Mart in a healthier way, but Im talking about his voice too. I dont know what hes doing to himself, but on the last two tours his voice is getting better and better! I love it! It always sends shiver down my spine! And here our agreement was still standing with Anita that by the quieter parts we scream so that well be able to hear us on the LHN records.

Here Martin blew off my mind completely! He was so sweet as he was slyly sneaking closer to the other end of the stage sometimes moving his hips like in ONIP and he stopped just in front of the catwalk, where the rain couldnt reach him and he was playing with the audience. Then with a big grin he suddenly went down the catwalk and did the guitar solo at the end out there in the heavy rain. Wow what a roar came from the audience!!! I really loved it!
A question of lustThis is the song from Martin which I like the least of all although I was glad that he didnt sing Home. Anyhow it was very beautiful and moving and it was clear that it mesmerized the audience too here I could hear it again as the whole stadium was breathing for the same rhythm and was singing with Martin. Its an unforgettable experience too and now this song climbed a bit upwards on my list.
Come BackWooooooooooooow!!!!
I still dont like the album version, but in live this song was the one which rocked the best for me! One of the highlights from the evening for me!!!! It sounds amazing live although I felt here too (like by the album version), that the music suppresses Daves voice a bit. But despite this it was super! After the little intro the music nearly exploded towards us, like an unstoppable, massive and bruising flood
It was carrying me and reached my heart as Dave was asking bitter sweetly come back, come back to me
Im on my way, honey!
PeaceThe album version stays by me. After the awful video clip I saw an average live version. I dont say that it was bad, but I was missing that power from the concert version, which could have been there in this song. But Dave sang the high tones nicely I was paying attention to them. He was a bloody professional!

Of course the Just look at me, I am walking love incarnate, Look at the frequencies at which I vibrate
lines were the loudest from me, cuz these lines are my favs from the lyrics! It was f*cking great! (Sorry for the expression!

) I think the part at the end where Dave tries to make us sing wasnt that powerful, as it could have been, but around us everyone was shouting it.

So I think this song has more than just this.
In your roomHuh, sadly I cant remember too much from this song just the feeling had left, cuz firstly I think it started raining so hard here that my eye-make up went into my eyes and it hurt and I barely could see, secondly I was in another world and thirdly I think the girl Ive mentioned earlier tried to get into the first row next to Anita during this song without success

I think here was a mistake from the guys too, but just a little one when Martin wanted to finish the song earlier and so when Dave asked us to sing, or he wanted to sing (I cant remember clearly) Mart accidentally played the guitar by the wrong part, but I dont think it was too disturbing and they were just smiling again on this. Despite this I LOVED the song and itll stay my 3rd fav DM song forever! Ill be curious whether theyd put it onto the new live DVD. Well now a picture came back to me as we were shouting Your favourite passion, your favourite slave
and the other lines to Dave
God, it was wonderful again!
I feel youI dont really like this song, cuz I think its overplayed, but usually it rocks on concerts. Fortunately they cut off the long intro of the song, which always hurt my ears. Because its one of Daves fav concert songs, they had to keep it in the set list, and the crowd usually starts to rage during this song and it was in the same way by us too. We had a great time jumping up and down during this song, but nothing extra for me. I think Ive noticed the balloons coming nearer to the stage from the crowd and Dave was smiling from this again.

And I had a chance to look at the projectors to capture a few pics in my mind. Ill love this background projection on the new DVD! I cant wait for it Ill capture a lot of pics from the new show!!! (This projection was better than the one on the TTA, I think.)
Policy of truthWell at the beginning of this song I looked at Anita a bit pouting, cuz this is her Number 1 song and she could hear it live again just like in 2006, and Im still pouting cuz it wasnt Useless this time.

But after it it was VERY-VERY-VERY-VERY good for us, cuz around the half of the song Dave came to us onto the edge of the stage and we all agreed after the concert - that he was SINGING A VERSE TO US! You can imagine that Ani nearly died there!!!

DDDD And WE TOO!!!! It was amazing! I cant describe it! And he was grinning at us from ear to ear as we were shouting the lines back and we were reaching for him and we were screaming for him!!!!! Wow, now Policy climbed up on my top list again! Ill NEVER forget those moments, although it was as if I was looking through a bubble, the outside world didnt exist for us and just HE was there as he was offering his mic to us, encouraging us to sing loud and we followed Masters order and with straining throat and vocal cords we were shouting even louder! Oh god, it still gives me goose bumps!!!!
Enjoy the silenceWe barely could come round after this shock when Enjoy had started of course by this song even those started screaming, who werent that active on the concert so far. Its well-known that this is their most popular song and the loudest singing is usually during this and this happened now too. For me Enjoy is good on concerts and it gives me goose bumps even if I hear it on the radio, but I think this song is overplayed too, and I wouldnt die if they took it out of the setlist, but of course its impossible.

Anyhow I wont regret it, cuz this Enjoyll stay special for us! Following Daves example Martin walked to us too and we got a huge grin from him because of the loud MARTIIIN! yells and singing! You should have seen his face how happy he was when he was playing his guitar, feeling how much we love him!

Of course by the guitar solo part Dave introduced him as usual since 98 he pointed his finger at Martin and said Ladies and gentlemen, Mr. Martin L. Gore! there came an enormous roar from the crowd. Its still awesome! I love it! And I think theyd mixed the new version very tastefully. (Haha, during the instrumental part in the middle the concert in Berlin came into my mind when Dave sang Chaka, chaka there or something like that.

)
Never let me down againAs the first tunes came, I was shivering and not because of the rain, although we were soaking wet at that time. I stood on my tiptoes and I was right: a few fans were already waving with their hands. By this song 101 comes always into my mind, cuz this song was the first one when Ive cried on a DM song watching the sea of hands waving back at Dave. Although now my eyes remained dry if we dont count the raindrops which found their way into them the experience was just as overwhelming as in 101. I looked back over my shoulder a few times and I loved the feeling again that I was a part of the corn field, which was waving in the heavy rain!

As I was watching the projector behind Dave for a few moments, I yelled that THERES A FREESTATE T-SHIRT! when they showed a girl in someones neck!

Here, Faith and the others on Freestate.hu had reached their goals: they were able to advertise their T-shirts and website this way! Somehow it was a very good feeling.
StrippedThe first encore came before this song. Of course there was the DEPECHE MODE, DEPECHE MODE! chanting and yelling, but somehow I didnt feel it as strong as in 2006, although during the concert we were singing that Ooo thing from One Night In Paris too. After it they came back of course and theyve started playing my 2nd fav song, Stripped
I was near my catharsis again like in 2006 and I was shivering constantly. I love it live! And at the beginning, before theyve started singing, Dave was conducting us when we were singing that Ooo
and he asked us Are you still with us? and he joked too Its raining again
we laughed from this cuz it was pouring with rain, as usually it did in the last few open-air concerts in Hungary.

I wont say too much else just that for me Stripped was perfect and I didnt care that Ive heard that there were problems with the sounds
We didnt notice it, we were busy with something else. I wouldnt have cared if the music came from a hi-fi system until they were singing to us.
Master and servantI think this song is unforgettable for everyone. Although by Its no good Dave didnt make a mistake, here he had to, cuz there was something wrong with his microphone, but he solved it: he made us sing again. We were singing quite a lot on the concert, but it was okay with me. Although Ive heard from many fans that people around them didnt sing this song, we were shouting it with all of our strength well okay, sometimes we couldnt follow which verse came, cuz it was nearly fully instrumental now without Dave. But he was grinning as he was listening to us and he danced along the stage, grinning at Martin too.

Haha, no one will have such a Master and servant on this tour! Long live for uniqueness!

Ill never forget Daves face as he was smiling ear-to-ear when we were shouting back Lets play master and servant come on!!!
StrangeloveI was very happy when it turned out that theyd put it into the setlist and I was waiting for it very much, but somehow I dont like the background projection too much. And this censuring stuff
I cant understand why the hell they should censure it, cuz theres nothing extra in it there are more brutal things on TV around 10pm
Oh well, I didnt care too much whether I could see the slightly feet-fetishist video or not, I was rather concentrating on the guys. And for shouting

ain as loud as possible

DD (By the way the censure wasnt full by us, cuz we could see what was going on in the background the red wasnt fully covering the video but this was good for the men.) Well, Id have liked to see a bit more strength in this song. I dont know whether it was because of the rain, or they wanted to spare Dave a bit (which I can understand after his illness), but I was expecting a bigger explosion from this song. But of course I was enjoying it this way too.
Personal JesusThe second encore before this song. Now I felt the audience even weaker I think a lot of people thought that it was really over. Anyhow we were straining our vocal cords as usual.

I think Ive already told you in 2006 that I dont really like PJ either Im okay just with the live versions. I can listen to them. But now maybe this was that song where the crowd went totally crazy. It was unbelievable even I was jumping like mad!

PP Then I was making a video of the hands as they reached towards the stage by Reach out and touch faith! khm
but of course sometimes we sang Dave instead of faith

It was awesome!!!!
Waiting for the nightIt was simply fantastic and perfect. It surprised me, cuz usually a DM concert touches me deeper than crying, but now I wiped away a few teardrops too. It was wonderfully beautiful! Earlier I fell in love with this live track on the Berlin gig, but hearing it live was much-much better and more beautiful! It touched me deeply. And I was shivering like mad especially when I knew that my fav part came:
And when I squinted
The world seemed rose-tinted
And angels appeared to descend
To my surprise
With half-closed eyes
Things looked even better
Than when they were opened
I cant tell you how overwhelmed my heart still becomes when Im thinking about this perfect song. I like the album version too, but the live version
I think it has so much more in it especially when Ive heard the whole stadium singing the song reverently with Dave and Martin, and the crowd knew when they should remain silent, just listening to the rain and breaths. I was smiling when I spotted Christian taking Marts place behind the synthesizer.

There was magic on the stage again. Although the boys didnt finish the concert on the catwalk this time, it was still wonderful. It was an admirable closure of the show. I think its much better to have a slow song at the end, cuz it calms the crowd a bit down and gives a nice closure for the concert I dont say that okay, now give us another song, cuz Im still crazy. These slow closures give me the minutes of unworldly devotion and love towards the guys.
When Dave yelled See you next time! I cant remember when he introduced the other members of the band, cuz I was still somewhere else I knew that it was over and I sighed and accepted it with a little nod, but in the same time I felt that I dont want to break the magic of the moment, that Id like to extend it
But finally I followed my friends with these fresh experiences in my head, trying to concentrate onto the rest of the evening and getting out of the stadium, which wasnt quick.
Sadly because we were soaking wet from the rain, weve decided to skip the after party this time and we rather went home to change our wet clothes to dry ones, not risking a pneumonia, although I really felt like partying despite the tiredness. Outside we said goodbye to the others after we bumped into a friend (Peet) and I was waiting with Mau for her husband who came for us with their car. But because there was an enormous traffic jam, we had to walk until we reached the other stadium (Laszlo Papp, where the next DM concertll be on the 11th January) and we had to jump into the car, which was stuck in the traffic jam. At this time the warmth of the crowd was nowhere and we were shivering hard. But it was worth it. Ive ended up by Maus place, but we couldnt sleep for a while, cuz we were talking about the concert, living through those wonderful two hours again.
By the way its funny that while Im writing this summary theres a big storm outside, bringing back the memories even more. Im smiling cuz these are fantastic memories, which make my heart beat faster, and which bound me to Depeche Mode even more for the next long-long years. I cant tell how much I love them and Im looking forward to their next concert in Hungary (11th January), where we have sitting tickets this time, but wont sit down for a minute as well raving during the whole concert like mad again, knowing that once we already had the first row!!!
I can just say again that Thank you, Depeche Mode, for this wonderful evening and those two hours you gave us from your lives! I wont ever forget what you gave to me again!
Oh God, it's raining
But I'm not complaining
It's filling me up with new life
The stars in the sky
Bring tears to my eyes
They're lighting my way tonight
And I haven't felt so alive in years
